Goated: A term used to define a golf shot that seemingly looks to be of high quality, only to go caroming in some random direction, cease to stop when it should and end up fifty yards from the hole, or otherwise end up in some inexplicable place during a round of golf at Goat Hill Park. Usually followed by laughter and/or tears, you're not one of the cool kids until you've been "Goated".
