The Flatten the Curve T

Like many of you, our thoughts are with those impacted by COVID-19, their loved ones, and all of our communities.

In an effort to bring awareness to Flattening the Curve and staying home, to our community and beyond, on March 18th we posted a design by our co-founder/art director Geoff Cunningham on Instagram. It read "This Calls for the Low Stinger," which, in golf, refers to hitting the ball low, and safely down the middle, away from wind and trees. The graphic had an overwhelming response from the golf community, and beyond. The comments on the photo kept coming in "Make this a t-shirt", "will purchase this on a tee!".... it was a design so special we knew we needed to do something. A week later, we decided to act on the tee idea, and make it available for purchase, with 100% of proceeds going to the Center For Disaster Philanthropy

The CDP is a top charity in transparency and accountability, as recognized by Charity Navigator. They have a COVID-19 direct relief fund that specifically helps the most vulnerable populations affected by this crisis, including hourly wage workers, the elderly, and those with disabilities. They also connect with NGOs to provide desperately needed supplies to those on the front lines in our hospitals.

Before long, the Flatten the Curve tee was making its way into stories on outlets such as GOLF.com, Golf DigestUSA today's Golfweek, CBS Sports, The New York Post, and on to celebrity Instagram stories. Geoff was also interviewed via Skype to chat about how the idea came about.

With the help and support of all those, and each and everyone who helped share the tee, we were completely overwhelmed with the purchase response and we were able to generate $100,000 in donations to the CDP in just 2 weeks time. Unreal!

Safe to say our Linksouldiers, the golf community, and beyond, continue to blow our minds. As of today, we have raised over $160,000 and counting...

This wouldn't be possible without our family-owned screen printers here in Oceanside, our amazing web team, warehouse team, and everyone who purchased or made an effort to share the mission with their friends and family. On behalf of our Linksoul family, and our friends at the Center of Disaster Philanthropy, we thank you. 🙏Stay well. #flattenthecurve #wereinthistogether
